On one side, the gradient cables travel up the scarf, and on the other side, you'll see a semi-solid cable trail instead. It works like magic! Plus, you're only knitting with one color at a time. The cowl is a fabulously simple design that highlights the rainbow colors themselves for a lovely little neck warmer. One yarn pack - two options: Originally conceived as a scarf pattern, the designer decided to knit up a separate cowl pattern with her leftover yarns from the pack - this is optional, but makes excellent use of the yarn for you or a friend. So your choices are: 1. Knit one Born This Way scarf and one Abundance of Pride cowl (note that patterns are sold separately) with a combination pack. Or knit just the scarf and use your leftovers for something else! 2. Knit up to three Abundance of Pride cowls with a Pride Pack. (As written, the 22 circumference cowl instructions can make three cowls, but she includes instructions for changing the circumference of the cowl, which would use more yarn the larger the circumference).
